TESTIMONIALS AND REVIEWS
Naturally, I was impressed with the highend resto mod projects displayed in your office.
Those pictures show quality work from top to bottom. Impeckable custom fabrications,
no cost spared, at a reasonable hourly rate. It definitely put me at ease that the same
diligent attention will be put forth to my projects' issues. And I was not wrong.
The work was professional, detail oriented and you provided well informed opinions.
As a result, my Falcons are now easier and more enjoyable to drive. I would
not hesitate to recommend the shop to anyone who is in need of restoration type
Hey Jack: I've been meaning to tell you, Jon, and the crew THANK YOU again. Some of my friends around the country and even locally have had bad experiences with shops and their cars; I'm talking some real horror stories of lies, over charging, swiping parts out, and even taking money but not doing any work. I even know a guy who bought a car on line from a well known car sales company in Southern California - they took $50K then said sorry the car was sold to someone else and wanted him to choose another car AND wire more money. Needless to say their website is no longer and several people have filed suit. Thinking about these experiences together - made me realize how fortunate I am to be working with NTRCI. You have been accommodating, kind, honest, and timely. Heck, you guys answer the phone and return calls. Sounds so simple but it's not what many people experience. So with all that said - again I want to say THANK YOU again for partnering with me on the Camaro and being all around good people and operate a hot rod shop I enjoy doing business with. North Texas Rod and Custom a great place to do business with. Jack and Jon know how to build a hot rod and did mine to a show quality car. I noticed they pay close attention to detail in putting a car together. I appreciate the honesty and sincerity that went into my car. Thank for being a honest business man and treating me with respect. My 1934 3window coupe is ready for the car shows thanks to NTRCI.
My wife and I started looking in earnest for an old iron rehab specialist in Jan-Feb 2010 after securing funding for our project. Our "baby" is a one owner (if three generations in the same Family count as that) '71 Camaro that was a daily driver for 23 years and had racked up over 200k original miles. Totally worn out, we parked it in the garage for another 15 years. When my wife interviewed several "rod shops" in our home towns of both the DFW and Houston areas, one stood out above the rest, North Texas Rod and Custom, in Kaufman, Texas. Owner Jack Ellison’s estimate was not the least expensive, but actually sounded the most reasonable for the shape the vehicle was in and the extent of the upgrades and custom work we wanted completed.
The three things that most impressed me about NTRCI were:
Jack's willingness to accommodate our vendor source requests and to stick to OUR ideas.
Jack's dedication to do it "right" even if it leads him outside his comfort zone.
His up front and honest appraisal and explanation when costs or parts exceeded his expectation.
North Texas Rod and Custom, Jack, and his son, Jon, would get 5 stars just for the quality of paint if for nothing else. That is almost always the first comment about the vehicle no matter where it's seen or parked. Most are clue less about the make and model of a Gen 2 Camaro, but they drool over the paint. The late model Chevy Ram Jet 350 Fuel Injected engine, custom leather and suede interior, and Vintage Air heat and air are also most impressive!

1957 210 Chevy Sedan Delivery, Owner Rudy Ayala, Mesquite, Texas
I found NTRCI’s shop searching for someone to do some work on my 57 sedan delivery which has been in the family since I was a kid.
I emailed Jack about some things I wanted to do to the 57 like put disc brakes, AC, and power steering, and after a few emails I decided to go meet Jack and check out his shop.I’m glad I did! We discussed what I wanted to do and he explained everything we needed to do from the shop’s end.
By the time my project was done, I ended doing more to the car because I trusted Jack and valued his opinion.
So if you want it done right, Jack’s the man in my book!
Jack, I want to say Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. The car launches hard, runs straight and stops without pulling to either side. Furthermore, it catches lots of attention every time we are at the track. The workmanship was excellent. The attention to detail superb.
Lots of other shops told us this could not be done, or not like we had in mind, or that it was impractical. You brought your motto to life. We dreamed it and you made it happen.
Furthermore, your willingness to talk and answer any question whenever I call has really been the icing on the cake. Quality is not cheap but your work has been worth every penny.
